The City of Harrisburg is holding a public meeting on the Vision Zero program to stop traffic injuries and fatalities from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Fire Station #2, corner of State and N. 16th Streets.
The purpose of the meeting is to allow Harrisburg residents to receive information about:
- Vision Zero safety program,
- State Street accident data,
- results of June 2018 State Street Safety Survey,
and to offer suggestions and feedback.
Officials will focus specifically on the first phase of the Vision Zero project, the State Street Rapid Response. Research has shown that State Street has a high incidence of traffic accidents, including those involving pedestrians.
